The Sacrament of Beholding

  • We held an enlightening webinar that delved into the critical intersections of spiritual care, reproductive and maternal health, specifically tailored to the experiences of Black women in sports.

Beyond Beast

  • Our very own Dr. Gary F. Green, II, Ph.D. facilitated a rich conversation about the brilliance of Black athleticism as displayed among NFL players, featuring perspectives from three current and former football stars. We will tackled the issues of race, masculinity, and power as they converge on Black men’s bodies via the historical image of “beast,” and ultimately move beyond this trope by highlighting the real brilliance behind some of the most extraordinary athletic feats we’ve all witnessed both on and off the field.

Re-membering Black Athletes & Faith

Then, it leads to the influence and impact of Christianity and the Church in the growth of the game of Basketball. It ends with a Q&A with our panel speakers, Dr. Louis Moore, Dr. Onaje X.O. Woodbine, and WNBA Chaplain Cerise Barton.
